New DFDS A/S route Calais - Sheerness v.v.

The new Unaccompanied Service between Calais and Sheerness will be starting in July and will consist of the following: • 1 x daily round trip. • Operating x 7 days per week. • Crossing time 5 hours. • Dedicated RO-RO vessel providing capacity for 165 x unaccompanied freight units. • 24/7 access to the port of Sheerness part of the London Medway cluster. • Congestion free access to drop and collect trailers with no standage charges applied for the first 48 hours. • Close proximity to the M25 ring (approx. 40km closer to the M25 than Dover). Ideally positioned for goods heading to London and the Midlands. • Port of Calais close proximity to rail links and proposed sailing schedule is well suited to accommodate traffic from rail freight services and onward intermodal routes throughout Europe.
